NetClimber recently invested in some new web hosting servers with new advanced applications including LiteSpeed web server software for improved website performance, and LetsEncrypt AutoSSL to allow all sites to have SSL encryption without an added cost. Both of these features are recognized by Google in their ranking algorithm.
The moving process includes a 2-3 month investment of manpower as well as a overlap of services. Transition has run very smoothly to date and the process has been transparent to most clients, although, if they did not have a URL beginning in HTTPS in the past, that will be one of the most notable updates.
Note: If you are unsure of what HTTPS is or why it is important you can learn more with our previous post – The Importance of HTTPS
Clients who have retained their emails services within their web hosting packages will be contacted soon, as we proceed to move these services. There may be some requirement to strengthen email passwords as we have discovered many people have not taken the need for strong passwords serious enough.
We would recommend that you monitor your website on a regular basis even if you don’t do updates often. If you notice your site now has the security certificate in place, have a detailed look to ensure nothing appears out of place. We check all sites after the move, but its always good to have the owner ensure we haven’t overlooked anything.
We look forward to having all our web hosting clients up and running on the new servers in the very near future. If you have any questions, please contact our office.
